Jane Chen is Founder & CEO of Thea Learning Company. Thea is an EdTech start-up that aims to democratize access to personalized instruction by scaling the mission of educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and corporate clients. Previously, Jane founded Eyre Writing Center (EWC) in 2020, which currently operates as Thea’s Education division. Since inception, EWC has serviced 1,200 enrollments in 30 states within the U.S. and 6 countries and continues to grow rapidly.
Prior to her work in education, Jane worked as an M&A Investment Banker and Senior Investment Analyst for various firms in New York City and Europe. Directly before founding EWC, she started the equity investment research team for a German-based fund that ranked #2 in its sector coverage pan-Europe within its first year of launch.
Jane graduated from Harvard University as a History Concentrator and a Blankfein Family Scholar in 2012. She previously attended the Trinity School in Manhattan and is affiliated with Prep for Prep, a DEI and leadership development program based in NYC. Today, Jane currently resides in Saratoga Springs, NY.
