Dr. Qiu is devoted to the local community and passionate about community service. She is known for her volunteering work in the local Chinese schools as a board member and school administration team member over the years, and for her involvement in many community events. She is also involved in the local school district and organized local school activities and events. She was on the Central Ohio Red Cross International Blood Center Leadership Training Advisory Council helping with the training of several group of red cross staff from China. Dr. Qiu is serving or has served in multiple leadership roles in various organizations, such as being a founding board member of Ohio Chinese American Association, national board member of United Chinese Americans (UCA), past President of Ohio Peking University Alumni Association, current Board member of Ohio Wuhan University Alumni Association, and a past Chair of a company-wide Chinese Staff Association.
As a true believer that the future belongs to the next generation, Dr. Qiu is dedicated to developing our youth into great leaders. She is currently the AACO Youth Program Chair, and has been leading the effort in establishing the AACO summer internship program since 2018, to place interns in state legislator’s offices and government offices, where they can gain real insight into how government works.
